Around The World in 130 Days

Okay, we don't make it as fast as Phileas Fogg in the 1870s in Jules Verne's novel "Around The World in Eighty Days". A roundtrip with one of our Superflex Heavy MPC vessels employed in the "Round-The-World Pearl String Service" of Rickmers-Linie takes about 130 days and offers calls at about 20-25 ports en route. These usually include:
Hamburg, Antwerp, Genoa, Dubai*, Jakarta, Singapore, Haiphong Roads or Ho Chi Minh City, a port in the Bay of Bangkok, Hongkong, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, Dalian, Xingang, Masan, Yokohama and/or Kobe, New Orleans, Houston, Philadelphia and again Hamburg.
(* = every second sailing)

As these vessels transport breakbulk, heavylifts and project cargo instead of just containers, port times are often longer (sometimes several days) and allow for excursions to cities and sights nearby (depends on actual schedule of the vessel).

Check out the voyage description and fares available for this fascinating way of making a world tour. You can also book just one or several legs of the whole roundtrip.

Note: All schedule details and port rotations are subject to change without notice. This also applies to information given in the pdf-documents downloadable from this website.
